Increasing Computer Skills and Access

Mature female student expressing frustration at computerLow-income African Americans and others need computer access and training to counter the negative effects of the “Digital Divide”.

Computer access and training helps low-income clients become better prepared for preferred employment and/or increased job earnings.

The Urban League Business Training Center provides services at three sites across the bi-state area.

Services include:

• Testing, assessment and training in administrative/computer skills; and
• Access to and increased familiarity with computers

Eligibility:

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis provides low-income adults, 18 years of age or older, who have completed high school or a GED with training designed to increase their computer skills. Participants must be able to type minimally upon beginning the program.
