The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is proud to present Urban Expo 2026, an extraordinary celebration of empowerment, access, and opportunity for the entire community. This year’s Expo features three impactful events designed to support families, job seekers, and students as they prepare for a successful year ahead.

Friday, August 7th - Job Fair 
The festivities begin on Thursday, August 7th, with the Urban Expo Job Fair, presented by the Regional Business Council and hosted by Save Our Sons + Save Our Sisters program. From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Urban League Headquarters, over 60 companies will be on site offering job opportunities, onsite hiring, and career support services. Attendees will receive help with resumes, professional attire, and access to supportive services all in one place.

Saturday, August 8th - Drive Thur Back to School
On Saturday, August 8th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the Expo continues with the highly anticipated Drive-Thru Back to School Event. Families are invited to drive through the Urban League Headquarters and receive a wide range of free resources while supplies last, including book bags, school supplies, PPE materials, food and groceries, health and safety items, and tornado disaster relief resources.

Saturday, August 15th -  Health & Home Experience
The celebration culminates on Saturday, August 15th, with the Urban Expo Health & Home Experience from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This event will offer free back-to-school physicals and immunizations, health screenings, dental services, vision and hearing exams, and more. The Home Ownership Experience will feature HUD-certified housing counselors, financial literacy education, homebuying resources, and disaster relief assistance for families impacted by recent storms.

All events will be held at the Urban League Headquarters located at 1408 N. Kingshighway Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63113. We invite all residents to join us for this landmark series of events and take advantage of the essential tools, services, and connections that make a lasting difference. The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis (ULSTL), in partnership with St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS), previously hosted the Urban Expo Back-to-School & Community Empowerment Festival each summer at the America's Center in downtown St. Louis. During its time at the venue, the event welcomed more than 27,000 residents from across the St. Louis metropolitan area annually.

The Expo provided book bags, shoes, and school supplies to youth, while SLPS officials assisted families with student transportation, enrollment, and other school-related questions and services. The festival also featured a comprehensive community resource fair with more than 350 participating partners. Nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and civic groups offered information on housing, employment, public safety, and education, as well as access to valuable social services such as health screenings, utility assistance, and financial literacy resources.

Today, the event has evolved into the Urban League Expo, which is held annually at the Urban League's Regional Headquarters, located at 1408 N. Kingshighway Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri 63113. The Expo now attracts approximately 5,000–8,000 residents each year and has expanded into a three-day community experience designed to meet the workforce, educational, and resource needs of the region.

The three-day Urban League Expo includes:
    •    Urban League Expo Job Fair – Connecting job seekers with more than 80 employers offering on-site interviews, hiring opportunities, résumé assistance, professional attire resources, and workforce support services.
    •    Urban League Expo Back-to-School Drive – Providing free book bags, school supplies, groceries, health and safety items, and other essential resources to help families prepare for the upcoming school year.
    •    Urban League Expo Community Empowerment Festival – Bringing together community organizations, health providers, government agencies, educational institutions, and local businesses to provide family resources, health screenings, financial education, housing information, youth activities, and community engagement opportunities.
